Karen Williams

Rider/Trainer

Karen provides a continuation of our training principles here at WEF as she returns to us as rider and trainer of our young athletes. She began with us when she was in high school before heading off to college where she then transitioned into racehorse management, graduating from Penn State in 2005.

In addition to breeding and starting racehorses under saddle, she went back to school becoming a licensed veterinary technician in 2010. Over the last decade, she has continued to grow her professional career as a veterinary nurse, obtaining a Master's in Public Health, all while still assisting at horse shows with us.

We have enjoyed having her as a dedicated green team member and when she expressed interest in exercising one of our young athletes, we graciously allowed her the opportunity. Since that time Karen has been an integral part of the team starting our horses under saddle. With a passion for young horses and eventing, she is able to expose our athletes to a variety of obstacles as they begin their careers.

We look forward to the future of her riding with team green as she develops one of our future broodmares as her performance partner.
